Reynold Henri Arnould foi um artista francês nascido em Le Havre, França, em 1919, e falecido em Paris, França, em 1980. Ingressou com apenas 10 anos na École des Beaux-Arts de Rouen e, em 1937, entrou na École des Beaux-Arts de Paris. Em 1939 recebeu o prestigiado Prix de Rome.
Após uma estadia nos Estados Unidos, regressou a Paris em 1952, sendo nomeado diretor do Museu de Le Havre. Mais tarde assumiu a direção do Grand Palais de Paris, tendo coordenado, em 1964, os trabalhos de reorganização e modernização das suas salas por iniciativa do então ministro da Educação francês, André Malraux.
A sua obra insere-se numa linguagem influenciada pelo futurismo, marcada pelo dinamismo das formas e pela forte influência cromática e estrutural das pinturas de Robert Delaunay.
