Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo, Mar Vicente he specialized in painting and, from there, began to uncover its meaning; review the term itself and its connotations. The play with the support, with the chromatic element, with architecture and, above all, with light is essential for the composition of his works, which start from primary geometric shapes to later add new levels of complexity. Between the pictorial and the sculptural, his works establish a physical relationship with the viewer, inviting them to explore the space as part of the process of perceiving the piece, which gradually modifies its profile depending on the angle and light intensity. From his studio in Austria, Mar Vicente managed to establish its own language that is already recognized internationally, with works in collections such as the CGAC in Santiago de Compostela, the Xunta de Galicia, the FEIMA Foundation in Madrid, the Laxeiro Foundation in Vigo or the MMKK: Museum Moderner Kunst Kärnten. Klagenfurt (Austria), among others. Recognized since 2003 with several awards and grants both in Galicia and abroad, her work has been seen in collective and individual exhibitions, with the most recent being: Object and Painting (2019), presented in galleries in both Austria and Spain , at the Leonhard Gallery in Graz (Austria, 2018) and Zerwürfeln Sculpture and Object at the Austrian Kulturforum in Bratislava. ver menos
