During his long creative course he approached in his works questions and themes such as: protest, eroticism, fado, bullfight, literature, mythology, Xingu Indians of Brazil, D. Quixote, portraits and animals. Belonging to the third generation of modernists, Júlio Pomar He is an artist with works ranging from neorealism to expressionism, passing through abstractism. He produced, mostly, paintings and drawings, but also held engraving, sculpture, illustration, ceramics, glass, tapestry, collages, sets for theater and mural decoration in tile.
