Julio Le Parc
Julio Le Parc is an artist of Argentine origin and lives in France.
Pioneer of Kinetic and Optical Art, founding member of GRAV (Groupe de Recherche de l`Art Visuel). He won the Grand Prize for Painting at the 33rd Venice Biennale in 1966.
Defender of human rights, he fought against the dictatorship in Latin America. A free personality, in 1972 he did not agree to hold a retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in the city of Paris, a decision made by tossing a coin.
