Alicia Varela

Alicia Varela is a visual artist with a career that crosses artistic borders. He graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca, in Spain, where he had the opportunity to improve his knowledge in Painting. His final year of graduation was enriched by an international experience at the École Nationale des Beaux Arts, in Bourges, France, through an Erasmus Scholarship. The enchantment of the Parisian experience led her to extend her stay in the French capital for another year. After returning to Spain, she began her career as a graphic designer, first in Madrid and later in Valencia. During this period, her passion for illustration gradually grew, attracting her more and more to this artistic field. At the moment, Alicia Varela lives and works as an illustrator in Gijón, her hometown, where her art comes to life. His artistic career, permeated by his diverse training and international experiences, resulted in a unique and expressive approach in the field of illustration, combining his skills in painting, graphic design and the visual richness absorbed from his experiences in different places and cultures.
