Tahis DZ (Thais Dalla Zanna, 1979) is a Brazilian interdisciplinary visual artist who lives and works in Aljezur, Portugal. Her artistic practice develops through diverse media, including painting, collage, installation, sculpture, and video art. Her work explores themes related to memory, identity, rites of passage, and the ephemerality of existence.
In recent years, Tahis has dedicated himself to using everyday materials—often forgotten or discarded—to transform them into visual compositions through mixed media. His abstract works feature intense colors, rough textures, irregular shapes, and interplays of transparency, elements that strongly define his aesthetic.
With a degree in Visual Arts from the State University of Londrina (Brazil), she complemented her education with several courses and workshops at prestigious institutions in Brazil, such as the Tomie Ohtake Institute, Sesc Pompeia, the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art (MASP), and the University of São Paulo (USP), among others. She also participated as an auditor at the GIIP – International and Interinstitutional Research Group in Art, Science, and Technology, at São Paulo State University (UNESP).
He has been exhibiting his work since 2002, with several solo and group shows in Brazil, Portugal, and France. His solo exhibitions include "Regenera" (LAC, Lagos, 2025), "Reconexão" (Galeria LiR, Lagoa, 2021), and "Reencontros" (Hotel Hilton Morumbi, São Paulo, 2008). In collective terms, he participated in the Moita Small Format Painting Biennial (2021 and 2024), at Galeria EIXO (Rio de Janeiro, 2022), at the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo (2014), and in the exhibition Enchanté, Paris! Rencontre d'Art Visuels Bresil (France, 2014), among others.
His visual research arises from the need to organize and resignify matter, fueled by a keen eye for the poetics of everyday life and the expressive power of common objects and materials.
