Samuel Djive nasceu em Maputo em 1979.
Formou-se em Design Gráfico pela Escola Nacional de Artes Visuais.
Neste momento está a concluir uma tese de licenciatura em Design Industrial no ISARC.
Atualmente encontra-se a residir em Maputo, onde trabalha, e estuda, desenvolvendo vários projetos de caracter interventivo, social politico.
Iniciou a sua carreira profissional em 2003 juntando-se ao grupo IDENTIDADES, criado pela Escola Nacional de Artes Visuais (ENAV), em Maputo, em parceria com a Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto (FBAP).
Neste âmbito e a nível individual, trabalhou com vários artistas nacionais como Naguib, Malangatana, Victor Sousa, Ídasse, Noel Langa, Jorge Dias e Gemuce.
Criou vários projetos, de carácter cultural, social e pedagógico, onde usa a arte como ferramenta de expressão e de liberdade intelectual, política e socioeconómica tal como o projeto STREET GALLERY. Também trabalhou ligado ao projeto internacional ASIKO.
É fundador e membro da associação cultural Pepetseka, Moçambique, e também My Dream, Moçambique.
O seu trabalho está carregado de simbologias e mitologias, retratando fenómenos sociais e do quotidiano de Moçambique.
Samuel Djive realizou várias exposições coletivas, individuais e workshops dentro e fora do país. Fez o mural da Embaixada da Tailândia em Moçambique. É membro do Núcleo de Arte. A sua obra encontra-se representada, em coleções públicas e privadas no seu país e no estrangeiro.
