Corrosion is part of the series Flora in Me, where the floral form moves away from literal representation to transform into matter, gesture, and interior landscape.
In this work, the flower appears to emerge and simultaneously dissolve. Organic forms overlap between transparencies, drips, and areas of greater density, in a process that suggests transformation and wear. The idea of corrosion emerges not only as erosion but as an alteration of matter—a state in which something disappears to give way to a new form.
Painting is built upon this balance between permanence and dissolution, between what we recognize and what we only sense.
