Mariana Homem de Mello
Mariana Telles da Silva Homem de Mello was born in Porto on November 3, 1974, and has lived in Lisbon her entire life. She began her artistic training in 1992 with a drawing course at the National Society of Fine Arts, later enrolling in a painting course in 2008.
Dedicated to drawing and painting from an early age, she initially developed a figurative and expressionist language. Starting in 2015, she embraced an abstract approach, characterized by free gestures and expressive layers, without preconceived aesthetics. Her work is distinguished by constant experimentation with materials and techniques, exploring acrylic, oil, oil pastel, and charcoal.
She has participated in several individual and collective exhibitions, and is represented in private collections in countries such as Spain, Italy, Germany and the United States of America.
