Luisinha Figueira, born on February 22, 1968, is a graphic artist based in Parede. She graduated in Design from IADE – Institute of Visual Arts, Design and Marketing, in 1990. Since then, she has maintained a constant connection to visual creation, although for many years, collages were simply a personal passion, an intimate exercise in creative expression.
It was during the pandemic that he decided to transform this passion into something more serious and professional. He created a studio in the comfort of his own home, where he currently develops his works, exploring a unique visual language characterized by mixed media. He works with paper collages and digital collages, using tools like Canva to create his visual imagery.
Luisinha's work often reflects her state of mind, functioning as an emotional extension of her daily experience. Surrealism is strongly present in her compositions—a distinctive trait of her creative universe—where irony, satire, and the implicit are often central elements.
Through her collages, Luisinha Figueira constructs visual narratives that challenge the viewer's gaze and invite interpretation. Each image reveals a play between the conscious and the unconscious, the real and the absurd, the explicit and the hidden. Her work stands out for its aesthetic freedom and its ability to provoke reflection with a touch of clever humor.
