Luis Repiso é um artista plástico nascido em Valladolid, Espanha, em 1954, e radicado durante muitos anos em Oviedo, Espanha, cidade com a qual se identifica culturalmente. Repiso é reconhecido pelo seu percurso de mais de meio século de dedicação à pintura e pelo desenvolvimento de um estilo pessoal que transita do realismo para uma pintura abstrata geométrica muito marcada pela cor e pela forma.
Inicialmente ligado ao realismo naturalista, Repiso passou por uma evolução profunda na sua obra ao longo das décadas, abandonando progressivamente a representação figurativa para explorar uma linguagem visual essencialista centrada nas linhas rectas, planos de cor e estruturas geométricas, que criam composições de grande rigor plástico e poder visual.
O artista participou em mais de duas dezenas de exposições individuais em galerias de Espanha, incluindo em Oviedo, Madrid e León, e em numerosas colectivas em vários territórios. A sua obra foi distinguida com importantes prémios e menções em eventos de pintura nacionais, como o Prémio BMW e certames como o López Villaseñor, e tem estado presente em colecções públicas e privadas em Espanha e Portugal.
Repiso também é conhecido pela sua participação ativa em concursos e certames artísticos asturianos, onde tem sido premiado repetidamente, e pela sua contribuição como professor de desenho e pintura, tendo influenciado gerações de artistas.
Hoje, Luis Repiso é visto como uma das vozes importantes da pintura contemporânea espanhola, especialmente no contexto da geometria abstracta, onde a reduzida paleta de elementos e o equilíbrio formal se tornam marcas da sua proposta estética.
