Leonor Sousa é uma artista visual nascida em Lisboa, Portugal, onde reside e trabalha. A sua prática desenvolve-se nos campos da pintura, performance e instalação, explorando as noções de espaço, arquitetura e trajetória. Através de métodos ensaísticos e da criação de gestos geográficos, questiona a experiência humana no espaço, refletindo sobre os estados de “estar em” e “existir onde”.
É licenciada em Pintura pela Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa (Portugal) e encontra-se atualmente a frequentar o Mestrado em Pintura na mesma instituição. Realizou um Programa Erasmus na The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts – School of Visual Arts, em Copenhaga, Dinamarca (2019-2020), e um Curso Artístico Individual no Royal Institute of Art, em Estocolmo, Suécia (2021), experiências que ampliaram a sua investigação conceptual e espacial.
Ao longo do seu percurso, apresentou exposições individuais e coletivas em diversos espaços em Portugal e no estrangeiro, destacando-se: O Enredo (Solar dos Zagallos, Almada, Portugal, 2023); Pátio Interior (Galeria Campo Pequeno, Lisboa, Portugal, 2024); participação no FUSO – Festival Internacional de Videoarte (MAAT, Lisboa, Portugal, 2022); Prémio D. Luís às Artes (Salvaterra de Magos, Portugal, 2022); Vent Space Salon (Talin, Estónia, 2022); residência e exposição final na LisbonWeek’22 (Lisboa, Portugal, 2022); além de mostras na Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes, ArrozEstúdios, Fábrica Braço de Prata, Galeria Penelope, PrismaEstúdioLx e outros espaços independentes. Em 2025 participou no Salão de Inverno (Irmã Feia, Cacilhas, Portugal) e no Laboratório de Coisas Inúteis II (Lisboa, Portugal).
Paralelamente à sua produção artística, Leonor Sousa desenvolve atividade profissional no contexto artístico, tendo trabalhado como assistente de galeria na Galeria Campo Pequeno (Lisboa, Portugal), assistente de produção na LisbonArtWeekend (Lisboa, Portugal) e, mais recentemente, como assistente da artista Carla Cabanas (Portugal). A sua obra integra coleções privadas em Portugal, Espanha e França.
