Lara Roseiro She is a visual artist. Portuguese Born in Coimbra in 1980, she lives and works between Azeitão and Lisbon. She has a solid educational background, holding a Bachelor's degree in... Painting by the University School of Arts of Coimbra (ARCA/EUAC) in 2003 and holder of Master's Degree in Painting by the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (2014), with a dissertation focused on "Femmage and the legacies of women's labor"His creative process explores the home as an intimate space of women's daily lives, using interior settings with openings (windows and doors) that invite the observer to a kind of voyeurismTheir architectural settings, often empty or featuring delicate female figures, reflect the serenity of the home and allude to... genre paintingExploring the ambivalence between interior and exterior, Lara Roseiro has exhibited individually and collectively since 2001, and her work is represented in public and private collections in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, and the USA. She has received numerous awards throughout her career, including the... 1st Prize in the "Elena Muriel Painting Prize" (Oliveira de Azeméis, 2016), the 2nd Prize at the 5th Biennial of Young Art Painting in Penafiel (2008), and the 3rd Prize "Aveiro Jovem Criador" (2004), in addition to having developed several public art projects, such as one at the Carmo Archaeological Museum in Lisbon.
