Exceptional acrylic on linen in which an instant full of dynamism takes place on the iconic Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Parisian street where fashion and luxury speak the same language. With a vibrant and luminous line and several touches of bright red on a gray palette, the artist Kerdalo manages to open the scene, capturing all the vital intensity that emanates from this street.
An artist of great talent with a mastery of light and color, Kerdalo, although he does not belong to any contemporary pictorial movement, represents an updated version of Impresionism. His works capture images of diverse urban scenes enveloped in vibrant light and rhythm. Your pictorial narrative is very personal; His mastery of light and movement are his tools for modeling volumes and creating pictorial evocations adapted to the current rhythm of life. Its characteristic urban scenes in fast-paced cities like London, Paris and New York create the sensation of a photograph in motion or the capture of a frozen moment of modern life.
Put the emphasis on the perspective of the great avenues, the impression of the infinite, the movement of anonymous pedestrians, without their faces. In his works, everything is in motion. They are cities filled with light, which demonstrate their hypersensitive vision, which is used to reflect their own perception of the urban world.
Kerdalo was born in 1962 in Chamalières (Puy de Dôme). He currently lives and works in Paris. Graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Paris in 1980. Upon graduation, Kerdalo chose to express himself through illustration, first for the press and published through comics. It was in 1996 when he decided to dedicate himself to painting and immediately enjoyed growing success among the public. Driven by an incredible gift for the treatment of light, he seems to impose himself as the heir of great impressionists. Today, Kerdalo's work shines in numerous permanent exhibitions in Lyon, Saint Paul de Vence, Toulouse and Paris.
