Eugeni Torrens nasceu em Lisboa, Portugal, em 1958, possuindo nacionalidade catalã. Ingressou na Universidade de Barcelona, Espanha, no curso de Arquitetura. Posteriormente, estudou cinematografia durante quatro anos na London International Film School, Reino Unido, onde realizou 14 curtas-metragens. Defendeu uma tese sobre comédia cinematográfica, obtendo o grau de Mestre em Arte e Técnica da Realização Cinematográfica.
Ao longo da sua carreira, realizou diversas exposições individuais em Portugal e no estrangeiro, tendo também participado em numerosas exposições coletivas. A sua obra encontra-se representada em vários museus e instituições.
