Elisabete Marques
Elisabete Marques, nascida em 1975 em São Paulo, Brasil, está radicada em Lisboa, onde vive e trabalha desde 2013. Formada em Artes Plásticas pela Universidade de Santa Catarina, encontrou desde cedo o seu percurso artístico na transformação de materiais descartados em arte.
Utiliza materiais como madeira, ferro-velho, brinquedos e eletrodomésticos, incorporando frequentemente iluminação nas suas obras através de circuitos elétricos funcionais. O seu trabalho procura contextualizar a realidade dos ambientes em que vivem diferentes populações, as desigualdades sociais e a importância da Natureza e do planeta como um todo, através de uma linguagem lúdica, irreverente e divertida.
O seu percurso inclui exposições no Museu de Arte de Santa Catarina, no Brasil, bem como em várias galerias na Europa e em África. O seu atelier situa-se em Campo de Ourique, em Lisboa, onde encontra motivação e inspiração para desenvolver as suas obras. O seu trabalho pode ser encontrado em casas, restaurantes, hotéis e também em espaços públicos da cidade de Lisboa, onde algumas peças iluminadas funcionam com energia solar.
