Cristina Guise She is a visual artist. Portuguese, born in Harbor in 1969, the city where he lives and works.
Training and Pedagogy: His academic background includes Advanced Course in Artistic Drawing at the Porto Higher School of Arts (ESAP) and the Master's degree in "Practices and Theories of Design" at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP). He furthered his studies with a workshop in International Summer Academy from Salzburg (Austria) in 2004. In addition to his artistic practice, he works as Teacher in the public education system and taught drawing courses at institutions such as the Árvore Artistic Activities Cooperative.
Artistic Career and Awards: Guise developed an intense exhibition activity, mainly in Portugal, being represented by galleries such as Galeria São Mamede. She has held notable solo exhibitions, such as September (Porto, 2013) All This Sky (Porto, 2010), and several in Lisbon. Her work gained international recognition, with exhibitions in Salzburg (Austria, 2004) and a group in France (Portuguese variations, 2018). She is also a regular participant in the Cerveira Biennial. Her work has been recognized with awards, most notably the Painter Award Fernando Azevedo at the XII Biennial of Cerveira (2003) and an Honorable Mention at the Banif Grand Prize (2003).
