Blanca Prendes (Gijón, Espanha) é artista e professora. Licenciou-se em Belas-Artes pela Universidade de Salamanca e prosseguiu a sua formação na Kunsthochschule Kassel e na HfG Offenbach (Frankfurt, Alemanha). Desenvolveu parte da sua atividade criativa em Badajoz, onde foi coordenadora da associação La voz de mi madre, e mais tarde em Astúrias, onde atualmente reside. Foi professora na Escola de Arte de Oviedo e leciona atualmente na ESAPA — Escola Superior de Arte do Principado das Astúrias. Em 2017 concluiu o Mestrado em Publicidade Integrada pela Universidade Internacional de La Rioja.
Participou em diversas exposições coletivas e projetos de arte pública e integrou o coletivo Offmothers até 2018, junto a artistas como Susana Carro, Roxana Popelka e Eugenia Tejón, com quem trabalhou temas relacionados com arte e maternidade. Atualmente, faz parte das associações de mulheres artistas Blanco, Negro y Magenta (BNM, Madrid) e Mujeres en las Artes Visuales (MAV), além de colaborar com o espaço cultural Espacio Local e a Associação Cultural Laboca, em Gijón.
O seu trabalho transita entre a pintura, o design e a experimentação conceptual. Após uma etapa inicial marcada pela pintura informalista, a artista passou a explorar novas técnicas e suportes, questionando os limites tradicionais da imagem pictórica. A sua prática, antidisciplinar por natureza, reflete uma investigação contínua sobre a perceção visual e sobre as vivências femininas contemporâneas. Nos seus projetos, Prendes aborda a complexidade de ser mulher e mãe, oferecendo uma reflexão crítica sobre o papel e a experiência feminina na sociedade atual.
