Anna Balecho is a photographer and visual artist born in Lisbon, Portugal, and currently residing in Ericeira. With a degree in fine arts and a diploma in photography, Anna Balecho is an artist whose unique aesthetic has captivated many, and is considered one of the pioneers of a new era of artists using 35mm film photography as the canvas to explore their ideas and worldview.
His career began with more than a decade of collaborations with renowned magazines, such as Vogue, Metal, CG, and other major industry references. Anna Balecho documented fashion weeks and helped brands communicate their position with a unique aesthetic approach, being recognized as a promise in the world of photography, being featured in Dazed and Confused magazine as a name to follow.
Between the development of long-term personal projects, including books and exhibitions, Anna Balecho He is looking for challenges in his career while rediscovering his love for painting.
His desire is to tell stories and create narratives. Above all, your mission is to communicate and connect with people, be it readers, buyers, collectors, followers or anyone involved with your work. Anna Balecho considers this as the essence of his art. Some call it composition, others style, but the artist prefers to describe it as her narrative.
Almost two decades after beginning his studies in photography, Anna Balecho still yearn to create connections. After so many years documenting his vision of the world through photography, now Anna Balecho also explores ways to recreate that vision. This is where abstract painting enters the scene as a new and liberating form of expression. Through this, Anna Balecho manages to be consistent with her narrative, creating connections, but with a new form of freedom, like a visual artist.
From now on, Anna Balecho he is not just documenting what he sees, but also reimagining it. His art transcends photography and embraces painting as a means of expression. Anna Balecho continues to explore visual possibilities, always with the mission of communicating, connecting and making people feel something and identify with his work.
