Ángel Hurtado de Saracho
Saracho, nome artístico de Ángel Hurtado de Saracho, nasceu em Gijón, Espanha, em 1973. Licenciou-se em Belas Artes na Universidade de Leioa, no País Basco, Espanha. Desde a sua formação, a sua obra destacou-se por uma figuração muito pessoal, na qual representa localizações e personagens anónimas, capturando momentos que, embora possam parecer triviais, fazem parte da sua experiência vital.
A sua carreira teve um reconhecimento precoce: no último ano do curso, foi-lhe concedida uma Beca de Paradores de Turismo e, ao concluí-la, um júri presidido pelo prestigiado pintor Antonio López selecionou a sua obra para integrar a coleção permanente de Paradores de Espanha.
O artista foi descrito pela crítica Julia Sáez-Angulo por sintetizar "o que vê, o que observa, na tela por meio da pintura, na qual analisa as sensações da cor. A figuração desfaz-se num esboço próximo da abstração. São a pintura, a cor, a composição e os ritmos que comandam".
Saracho realizou inúmeras exposições coletivas e individuais em Instituições Públicas, Fundações e Galerias de Arte, além de ter participado em feiras como: Room Art Fair (Madrid, Espanha), Cuarto Público (Santiago de Compostela, Espanha), Art3F (Bordéus, França), Hybrid Art Fair (Madrid, Espanha) e Flecha Artea (Bilbau, Espanha). Obteve também várias bolsas de residência, sendo a mais recente no Simpósio Internacional de Artistas de Noja, Sianoja 2017, em Espanha. A sua obra está presente em coleções privadas, pinacotecas municipais e na coleção pública de Paradores de Espanha.
