Teresa Camara Pestana, nasceu em Setúbal em 1962.
Frequentou o Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra nos anos 80.
Participou em exposições coletivas e individuais, com alguma irregularidade a partir dos anos 80.
Teresa Camara Pestana viveu na Alemanha de 1985 até 1997.
A BD sempre foi o segmento menos importante mas mais visível da sua atividade.
Editou “Hier Babylon” na Alemanha em 1995, uma BD com 64 páginas acerca do desalento do mundo moderno, que teve autoedição portuguesa repartida em dois volumes “Aqui? Babilónia” e “Continuamos aqui?”
Regressou a Portugal e editou o fanzine Gambuzine.
Projeto a solo durante 10 anos, onde editou em primeira mão em Portugal muito do que se fazia na vanguarda da BD alemã.
Gambuzine ganhou dois prémios de melhor fanzine na Amadora e chegou assim ser nomeado para o prémio de melhor fanzine de Angoulême.
Nos últimos 20 anos, fez algumas exposições de pintura e desenho individuais (poucas) em Coimbra, Portalegre, Castelo de Vide, Lousã, Guarda, e uma exposição a solo em Beja dos desenhos do álbum “Postais de Viagem” posteriormente editado no Brasil.
Ilustrou, a convite do Museu de Serralves, o livro catálogo do artista Mathieu K Abonnenc. Recentemente, fez a capa do álbum City of Moloch do violinista checo Daniel Meier.
Participou da exposição Tinta nos Nervos no museu Berardo e ilustrou para o Museu de Serralves o catálogo da exposição To whom who keeps a record. Postais de viagem, lançado originalmente pela autora, valeu-lhe exposição individual no festival internacional de BD de Beja e excelentes críticas.
