Sara Miguel, visual artist, attended the International Relations course at the University of Coimbra. She received an honorable mention in the Aveiro Young Creator Competition (2019).
Solo exhibition “Origin” (Ovar Museum, 2022) and “Diary”, at the 25th of April Association in Lisbon (2023), “Self-representations – Lines, shapes and colors” at the Leiria Municipal Library Gallery (2024) and "Diary II - Perceptions of everyday life" at the Coimbra Municipal Museum (2024).
The artist was present at the XII International Biennial of Young Art of Vila Verde (2022), at the International Contemporary Art Fair in Paris, and also participated in a collective exhibition at the gallery Van Gogh in Madrid (2024). Sara Miguel participated in a traveling collective exhibition, entitled “April 25, 1974 – Experiences and memories” (2024-2025).
The work "Conversations about God" (2022) is the cover of the book "Face to Face. The Creation of the Psychotherapist," by Hélder Chambel, published in Spain by Agora Relacional Editores (2023). His work "The Party" will be the cover of the poetry book by Dulcelina Silva Santos, to be published soon.
Sara Miguel participated in Artzine UltraViolenta, edition no. 11, with two works (2020), in Le Monde Diplomatique, with the works “We are humans, not numbers” (October, 2022), “Self-portrait” (March, 2023) and “Visceral no. 8” (July, 2023).
The artist also has a solo exhibition scheduled for 2025, at the Northern Regional Section of the Order of Doctors, in Porto.
The work of Sara Miguel It is present in several collections, public and private, nationally and internationally, namely the Collection of the 25th of April Association, the Ovar Museum, the Leiria City Council and EFCIS & Amílcar Pereira.
