He was born in Estremoz in 1930. He made his academic background in painting, in Esbal. He is partner-founding of the engraving where he developed intense activity.In 1961 he began his teacher activity of painting and technology at the School of Decorative Arts António Arroio (Lisboa). From 1964 he held works under the design of equipment and chart and collaborated with several architects. Since 1988, the Municipal Art Gallery of Almada and is Director of the House of Fence since 1993.
He exposes collectively since 1950 and individually since 1954. He is represented on several private collections, private institutions and museums. In 2006 the municipality of Escremoz, attributed to him the "gold medal of the city of Escremoz".
He passed away on March 10, 2008 in Lisbon
