Oxana Shimanchuk

Oxana Shimanchuk, known by her artistic name O. Shim, is a Portuguese visual artist who has established a prominent presence on the international scene. 

His work, focused primarily on oil painting, is characterized by a refined technique and a sensitivity that transcends borders. 

With a personal and deeply expressive vision, his creations address themes ranging from the intimate to the universal, connecting with diverse audiences through visual language. 

The surrounding landscapes and nature are the main themes of her work. By capturing the color and brightness of the landscape at different times of the day, the artist captures her impressions, transforming sensation into aesthetic expression. Her paintings sometimes escape the physiological aspect, allowing the viewer to discover a more psychological dimension. Contemplating her works reveals a more confessional aspect, a manifestation of the intimate monologue that reveals her personality.

The tones and combinations chosen by the artist in each work reveal and reflect the spirit of the moment. It's worth noting that the artist uses a palette and a set of colors to represent the constant changes in the outside world—particularly in light.

Her works are represented in national and international galleries and collections (USA, Switzerland, Spain), reflecting the recognition she has achieved thanks to her commitment to painting as a form of aesthetic and emotional exploration. 

Since graduating in Graphic Design and Illustration, she has worked as a designer and, simultaneously, as a visual artist.

His career includes active participation in exhibitions, confirming his place in contemporary art as a significant and unique voice.

Participates in individual and collective exhibitions in Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain, Macedonia, Malta, Mongolia, Slovakia, Romania and China.
