Luís Liberato
LUÍS LIBERATO, an artist who lives and works in Lisbon, was born in 1955 in Guinea-Bissau. He worked for three decades in advertising. In 2010, he began dedicating himself exclusively to painting. That same year, he began exhibiting his work in group and solo exhibitions, a practice he continues to do in Portugal and abroad. He is a member of the National Society of Fine Arts of Lisbon. Throughout his artistic career, he has received numerous awards, including honorable mentions, medals, and others.
In 2015, he was one of the artists selected for the "Debut Contemporary & Portugal Now" exhibition in London. He has been selected for several biennials, including the Vidigueira Biennial (Most Bold and Innovative Award), the Espinho Biennial, the Gaia Biennial, and the Alentejo Biennial. His work is featured in many national and international collections. He has a polyptych panel of his own at the Independent Banking Union.
