Irina Marques grew up with various influences. She was born in Lisbon in 1982 and moved to Braga when she was only seven years old. She lived in Porto for nine years, where she studied and worked. Since 2020 she has been working and living in Braga.
His references come from studies, curiosities, books, other artists (past and contemporary), travels, music and nature; all his experience encompasses a sensitive point of view - these are expressions made with soul and heart.
With a background in Visual Arts and Art History from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Porto, and a postgraduate degree in Tourism and Heritage Information from the Polytechnic Institute of Management and Technology in Vila Nova de Gaia, she pursued her path in the world of arts, participating for short periods in theater, music, photography, and other artistic groups, which she also studied.
His works blend abstractionist, expressionist, and surrealist elements, which are reflected in his paintings, writing, and other artistic mediums.
