Helena de Medeiros

HELENA DE MEDEIROS She studied at the London Fashion School and the Porto School of Arts and Design. Since 1990, she has held solo painting exhibitions, and many of her works are in private and municipal collections. The artist has offered a unique interpretation of costume design, which permeates her entire oeuvre. Her passion for scenography makes her one of the most acclaimed artists in this field, having built a solid and enviable career with some of the world's most prestigious ballet companies.
Her career began with painting, and what's more, we can discover a unique trait in everything she does, recognizable in a painting, in her writing, or even in her stage costume; although all of this happens very naturally. Helena de
Medeiros increasingly arouses the curiosity of an audience interested in new trends and expressive movements.

The paintings of Helena de Medeiros have an important dialogue with the work of costume designer also carried out by the artist, who has dedicated herself mainly to contemporary ballet.
