Günther Förg (born in Füssen, GermanyFörg (born in 1952 – died in 2013) is a central figure in contemporary art whose career was marked by constant experimentation and a deep connection with modernism. He began his studies at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts under the tutelage of Karl Fred Dahmen.
