From a young age, Fernando Gaspar (1966) He revealed a natural inclination towards the arts, becoming a self-taught artist who followed his own creative path.
His artistic journey began with drawing and watercolor, modalities that allowed him to explore and express his vision of the world in a unique way. In 1986, Fernando Gaspar He immersed himself in art, participating in exhibitions for the first time, marking the beginning of a career dedicated to artistic expression.
Fernando Gaspar maintains a constant presence in the artistic scene, exhibiting regularly in the main cities of Portugal. During his career, he demonstrated a remarkable ability to explore new supports, materials and techniques, taking his artistic expression to new frontiers.
The work of Fernando Gaspar The starting point is the exploration of lines and drawings, where the spot of color takes on a secondary role, an element of support for your creative vision. His creative process begins with the creation of a short script, from which the artist studies the complex relationship between color and shape.
With layers of color, sometimes opaque and sometimes transparent, Fernando Gaspar he constructs and deconstructs elements of his works, creating a rich visual texture. Fernando Gaspar focuses on two large fields of color: the black ones, which often display intensely charred grids, machines, structures and boxes, and the patches of color that are freed from rigidity.
The talent of Fernando Gaspar transcended borders when, in 1995, he held his first solo exhibition outside Portugal, in Belgium. His work has already been recognized with several national awards and has participated in more than 40 group exhibitions in Europe, Asia and South America.
Over the past 27 years, the work of Fernando Gaspar has undergone a remarkable evolution, adopting an increasingly reflective and contemporary artistic approach. His ability to explore the relationship between line, color and form has made him a notable figure in the world of contemporary art, inspiring art lovers around the world.
