Daniel Verbis conceives his work as a process of research into the material and formal procedures of painting in the first instance, and into the problems of language in the second phase. In this regard, it is not surprising that he is interested in artists such as Rene Magritte or Sol Lewitt, whose work constitutes a true treatise on the problems of representation and the relationship between the sign and the subject. In an interesting game of back and forth between pictorial work and intervention in the exhibition space, Verbis has intensified the exploration of new painting behaviors: from its production with extrapictorial materials such as plasticine, buttons or threads, methacrylate, aluminum foil , oil, shadow or graphics, to question the support itself. Daniel Verbis invites us to doubt what we see, by not placing limits on spaces, much less on art forms. His epidermal and emotional paintings take us on a visually seductive artistic journey, at times tense, ironic and shocking. Stimulating sensory representations, developed from the artist's research on creative processes and materials.
