André Camaleão (Lisboa, 1991) — nome artístico de Carlos André Pinto de Sousa — é um artista surrealista contemporâneo cuja obra atravessa múltiplas disciplinas: pintura, escultura, arquitetura, fotografia, design gráfico, escrita e cenografia. O seu universo visual movimenta-se entre o tangível e o imaginário, explorando a condição animal como símbolo, metáfora e essência primordial, questionando as fronteiras entre a humanidade e a natureza.
Artista autodidata, iniciou o percurso profissional no design gráfico, colaborando com o Centro Comercial Amoreiras. Prosseguiu estudos em Design de Equipamentos, Arquitetura, Produção e Design Gráfico na Universidade Lusófona, em Lisboa. Posteriormente, especializou-se em Design Gráfico na LSD (Lisbon School of Design) e iniciou um mestrado em Design de Comunicação na FBAUL (Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa). Paralelamente ao seu trabalho autoral, desenvolve assistência à produção, direção de arte e direção criativa em diversas produções artísticas, além de se dedicar à representação.
As exposições de André Camaleão refletem uma trajetória em constante evolução, marcada por uma presença contínua no panorama artístico português. Desde as suas primeiras mostras individuais em 2011 e 2012, nas galerias Dolce Vita Monumental (Saldanha), Lisboa Plaza (Lisboa) e Dolce Vita (Miraflores), até às exposições mais recentes na Galeria Municipal de Sintra – Casa Mantero e na Casa da Cultura Jaime Lobo e Silva (Ericeira) em 2022, o artista tem consolidado o seu percurso. Nos últimos anos, participou também em exposições coletivas na Galeria Orlando Morais (Ericeira, 2023 e 2024) e no Banco Montepio (Lisboa, 2024), reforçando a diversidade e vitalidade da sua produção artística.
