Anastasiya Tumanova
The granddaughter of a painter, she discovered the visual arts, drawing and, later, painting with her grandfather at the age of seven.
Started and encouraged by her loving grandfather, it was at the age of ten that one of these charcoal sketches caught attention and, thirty years later, it still hangs on the wall of her classroom.
Constantly continuing to discover and develop drawing and painting techniques, Anastasiya Tumanova would enroll in the Faculty of "Arts and Art History" in Russia a few years later.
Normandy, the Risle valley, where she currently resides, led her to discover new landscapes so dear to her. Claude Monet and David Hockney.
In 2014, life circumstances led Anastasiya to move to Marbella, Spain, where her life as an artist changed rapidly, providing her with new inspirations and adding a whole spectrum of vibrant colors to her paintings.
Quickly noticed by a Spanish television channel, Anastasiya will present a series of television episodes dedicated to her art and the art world in general.
This presence in the media will serve as a boost to Anastasiya's career as an artist, allowing her to exhibit her works in Marbella (2015), Madrid (2016), Monaco (2014), Rome (2016), Rotterdam (2014), New York (2022) and at Art Basel in Miami (2015).
The opening of the TUMANOVA Gallery in France (Cormeilles) in 2020 allowed Anastasiya to permanently present different themes of her art. She also undertakes many commissioned works.
Anastasiya always paints to the sound of music; these transparent nudes superimposed on abstraction are now a trend in her painting. Beyond marine themes, landscapes, and pure abstraction, her works are a play of color, light, and movement.
Enveloped in her musical bubble, painted in multiple layers with a spatula or brush, her rediscovered identity is the instantaneous transfer of the combination of her energy, her emotions, and her thoughts.
