The biographical film about the painter Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso, entitled “Amadeo”, directed by Vicente Alves do Ó, will premiere on January 26, 2023, in cinemas.Modern from the start, Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso (1887-1917) was an unmistakable artist in the Portuguese artistic scene of the 20th century, for having incorporated elements of the new artistic movements into his painting.
Edvard Munch painting hidden from the Nazis to be auctioned
A 4m-long painting by Edvard Munch that survived World War II is set to be auctioned on March 1 at Sotheby's Modern and Contemporary Art auction in London, with a pre-sale estimate of between £12m and £1. 20 million. “Dance on the Beach” was hidden in a Nazi barn next to a version of “The Scream”, and it has been 89 years since the work last appeared on the market. Painting missing during 1GM will be in Madonna's possession

MNAC - Museu do Chiado will undergo expansion works
