Bernardino Sánchez Bayo (Granda, 1978) has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Granada, where he produced portraits of professors in the Department of Drawing at the Faculty of Fine Arts.

His works have participated in numerous collective and individual exhibitions, such as the one held at the Fundação Caja Rural de Granada entitled Inquietudes, fear y ambiciones. He was commissioned for a series of portraits of the different mayors of Ogíjares, as well as of His Majesty King D. Felipe VI, located in the Plenary Room of the Municipality of the municipality.

He has received numerous awards and mentions, being a finalist in the XXXIV Edition of the BMW Painting Prize and in the 2019 International Competition for Figurative Painting and Sculpture. In recognition of his production and career, he received the First Prize of Motril, First Prize in the XVIII National Competition of Painting Ciudad de Manzanares de Ciudad Real, and the First Prize for Young Painting in Asturias, among other distinctions.

He also benefited from various training grants and artistic stays, such as the Bolsa Landscape from the Rodríguez Acosta Foundation in Granada, the Bolsa Talens IX Call in Barcelona or the V Call Concello de Sansenxo.

His pieces are in prestigious public and private collections, with examples being the University of Granada, the Fundación Caja Rural de Granada, the Antonio López García Collection, Tomelloso (Ciudad Real), the Talens Art Fund of Barcelona, ​​​​The Collection of Contemporary Art Ibercaja in Zaragoza and the municipalities of Villaviciosa, Gijón and Motril.
