2. Art of the MOOC: Public Art and Pedagogy

This course, taught by artist and professor at Duke University, Pedro Lasch, and co-taught by Creative Time's artistic director, Nato Thompson, discusses how public art has developed, through various works such as Maya Lin's Vietnam memorial and the inclined arch of Richard Serra. Contextualizing the student about the main developments of the last decades, this course is a challenge for students to design and execute their own public art interventions.

5. Charting the Avant Garde: From Romanticism to Utopic Abstraction

Lisa Wainwright, a professor at the Art Institute of Chicago, teaches in this course the long journeys of figure and representation liberation, from romanticism to abstraction. Going through the works of art of the various movements - romanticism, realism and impressionism, post-impressionism, cubism - the basis for understanding how they contributed to the fomentation of pure abstraction with Piet Mondrian, Wassily Kandinsky and Kazimir Malevich is consolidated. 6. Visualizing Japan

This course, designed by three universities, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University and University of Tokyo explores the history of Japan through the use of images about the moments described. Divided into three parts, Visualizing Japan exposes the exploration of Westerners and protests in the 19th century, its reconstruction after the Second War, post-war Tokyo, and finally, how it is seen in contemporaneity. In this way, this course offers the student a dynamic view of the outstanding events of recent centuries in Japan.

7. Special Topics: Appointments On History of Art and Architecture: Renaissance, Modernism and Brazil

The University of São Paulo offers an architecture course focused on research developed by the Brazilian architect Sérgio Ferro. This part of the architectural developments from 1972 to 2002 to understand the current Brazilian architecture. Sérgio Ferro is part of the Arquitetura Nova Group, one of the first generation of Brazilian modernist architects after Neimeyer.
